"Tuning box" questions

I am trying to get some input from any of yall who have tried or have tuning boxes for the 2003-2004 Cummins. I am new to all this electronics stuff. I want a "box" that will add both smoke and power. I prefer something "tune-able" so I can have added power when desired and "over tune" for an occasional smoke show.
I have 4" Rip Rook's exhaust and the AFE filter system. guages will be coming soon.
Any suggestions for a reliable and preferably "hot" tuning box?
