EGT probe
I am thinking of installing a small PLC into my Ram. One of the ideas I have is to install 7 thermocouples on the exhaust system. This would be one for each cylinder, and one post turbo. I have two questions about this.
1) Any recommendations for the thermocouple probes? (Brand, model, size, reasons, etc)
2) I have never had the stock exhaust manifold off. Is there enough material to tap each runner for 1/8 NPT fittings? If not does anybody know what material the manifold is made from so I can weld in a fitting?
(I know the stock manifolds are prone to cracking and that machining the manifold near the ports may cause this to be more of a problem.)
