which way to go with walls in shop

Ok Guys here is the deal, when i built my shop about 3 years ago, a friend of mine gave me 50 sheets of panelling (dark brown) and i used it on the inside of my shop for interior walls, well no i am tired of being in the dark all the time, I have 24 4 foot lights in the ceiling and it is still to dark, so do i paint the panelling or install something over it that is brighter or more reflective.
