Rockwell Thickness Planer, Model 22-650

I just bought a used Rockwell Thickness Planer, Model #22-650.
2-HP, 230 V, 1-Phase

This looks like a great planer--it's from a hobbyist, so it's been babied.
But before I can run it, I have to get a 220 friendly "extension cord" to adapt it to my existing 220 outlet.

Does anyone know about these Planers? This may be the "Invicta" model--it was advertised as such, but I don't see that name on the Machine Tag.

This one appears to only have a single feed-speed. Is there any sure-fire way to tell whether it has 2 speeds without firing it up and running a board through it?

Can I shift it with the motor running? I would guess that is a no-no, but I have been wrong before.

And did these Planers come with In-feed and Out-feed tables--if so, this one is missing them. Now that's not a huge problem because I can fab some up for it out of good hard Yellow Pine. This Planer does have the 3/4" steel dowel-pins which stick out front and back--which I assume these are for In-feed and Out-feed tables.

Anybody got a picture of the tables?
