Need help in Texarkana!!!
Howdy folks. I have a good friend in Texarkana with a sick truck, and I really need someone i nthe Texarkana area that could lend a hand. Here's the scoop:
My buddy Trevor, his wife Lauri-ann, and their little boy live here in Colorado near me, and they have family in Texarkana. Trevor just deployed to Iraq (again) so they drove their '99 24V out that way so she and te boy could be with family while he's gone. They got there just fine, but the truck developed a problem a couple days ago and it is her only transportation.
The truck has been decently modified by ATS in Denver and will of course warranty any repair work that needs done, but the problem is the truck would need to get to Dallas somehow where the nearest ATS shop is.
Apparantly the fuel pressure is pegged (FASS system) and the IP is over revving the engine a bit (say around 2400 rpm without throttle effort). It is driveable but.....
What we need is a local, trustworthy diesel shop near Texarkana that can have a look at the truck and pull some codes to tell what's wrong, and pending that info somehow get the truck to ATS for repairs (providing of course it's an ATS-related issue). If it's not related to ATS parts or work then the truck would hopefully get repaired at the shop pulling the codes.
HELP - any thoughts?
