First trip with '04.5

I came back Monday night from my trip to Martinsville Raceway in Virginia. I pulled a 40 foot 5er that put our combined weight around 19,000 lbs. On the trip down I split driving duties, and our MPG's were at 10.6. On the way home, I drove the whole way and got 9.96 MPG. Needless to say, I drove it like I stole it.

The biggest hill slowed me to 60 MPH, but that was because a curve kept me from getting a run at it. This truck completely out classed my buddy's Ferd that used to pull the camper. His truck was doing 35 MPH at the tops, and was lucky to hit 70 MPH at the bottoms. At one point, I was cruising along fine when I looked down and saw we were doing 84 MPH. Whoa! Overall, this thing performed flawlessly, and I'm in love with it. Keep in mind, I only have 10,000 miles on it, so I'm thinking the mileage and power will only increase. Oh, by the way, I have a Ferd friend that's becoming a believer!
