What can it hold?

Hello out there I have a 2003 2500 HD long bed 4X4.I went to look at some slide in campers today at a show and I was told that my truck could only hold an 8 foot slide in.The sales man said that the dodge can't handle anything bigger.I find this hard to believe.I know that I can tow up to 12,500 .I've been told by others that I can go with a 10 foot camper and not have any trouble.The slide in camper I was looking at was the Artic Fox.Can anyone out there tell me what my truck can handle.
