Which way to go?

I'm looking at a 40 ft 5'er. I have a goose neck ball (of course, not what I need) I don't want to do the adaptor/extension thing sooo, is there any kind of hitch that goes onto the ball directly? I'm only gonna pull this thing maybe 100 miles a year (deer camp) what's the best bang for the buck in a SAFE economy hitch?
