Freightliner conversion

Ok...if this is a dumb idea I need to hear it.

I'm am thinking of (in the not too distant future) finding a reasonably priced FL-60 or 70 with a 16' or 24' box on it...and converting the box to living quarters. I've done some reading on bus conversions and I don't see how this would be drastically different.

Reason I am leaning this way is I'm almost at the end of a dovroce (2-3 weeks before it's over) and I have to give up my '04 3rd gen dodge . I know I will eventually want to get another cummins truck (of some sort) BUT will not have the funds to go with a new truck...and for the money I Have seen the used FL's go for less than a used dodge (some with under 200K miles and under $10K in price) and the FL can haul/tow more and should last as long or longer especially since I would ot be driving it on a regular basis.

I want to think about doing this to be able to tow a car trailer for my jeep (or daily driver) as I think I can do it for less money than buying a used truck, and a camper, and still not have a place to carry my jeep.

Ideas, suggestions...is this stupid???
