I was talking to the owner of Stable Lift about getting one for my son since his wife will not let him unload it by himself and she gets so nervous she crys.
The owner of Stable Lift related to me the contents of a letter he got from a customer in Mississippi yesterday.
The gentleman said he was on the Eastern wall of the storm with sustained winds of 125 mph with higher gusts. He said trees and houses were blown away or damaged and many trees up-rooted, but his slide camper with the Stable Lift System installed, and off the truck didn't move. He said he should have stayed in the camper rather than the house. The camper came through unscathed.
I don't work for Stable Lift but I had two experiences using the electric jacks that was almost a fatal disaster. Once I saw a camper with one I copied the phone number off the unit and hastily had one installed. Oh the joy of peace in the family! Now my wife doesn't cry anymore when I load or unload or go into a nervous fit.
They might look a little strange, but if you have one of your jacks fail, you will say: "hang the ugly, I want safety and ease of loading and unloading."
