Exclamation 75W-140 and AAM axles TSB 03-001-04 Rev A

I have discovered some erroneous information in the TDR TSB database. I was posting in the third gen forum in the thread on "Gear oil?" when someone posted a link to TSB 03-001-04 Rev A. This TSB is about proper differential oil level in the 04 Rams. The linked TSB would lead you to believe that DC has approved the use of 75W-140 in the American Axle Manufacturing (AAM) axles. I was pretty sure that this was not true so I did some checking and it turns out that the actual TSB as printed from DC's computer today (9/16/05) appears to have been cut and pasted into the TDR data base. The title of the TSB from the TDR data base is "Power door locks do not unlock rear doors". The body of the TSB is about proper oil levels in the differential and it lists a table that shows that the DR 2500/3500 should use 75W-140 synthetic oil in the 9.25" and 10.5" and 11.5" differential.
The ACTUAL TSB has another table on page 2 that states that 75W-90 synthetic oil (PN 05102232AA) is the DC approved lubricant for the DR 2500/3500 trucks equipped with the AAM axles. I have emailed TDR admin and will follow up to ensure that this is corrected in our website. Ken Irwin
