Where to camp in coastal Oregon

We are planning two weeks vacation in July and looking at coastal Oregon. I'm bringing the wife, 2 and 6 y/o boys and the aussie dog. We have a 26' trailer that is self contained. I'm more interested in beautiful places to stay than a site with hookups. (a site with both would be nice) Fishing and hiking are important. Day trips with the truck are a given. Any suggestions as to nice campgrounds or don't miss spots would be appreciated. The sergeant major likes pine tree forests but I'm happy with just getting out of town.
