Hi folks>
Comming home from work today, I thought I would pull into a local truck stop and weigh my truck and trailer. I been complaining about the truck not pulling like it used to.
Was I supprised to see the weights. The front axle was 4260lbs, rear--5000, and the trailer 10,700 lbs. Combined was 19,960. This may not be much to some but that is 2000 over my RV fiver. Now the truck weighs 7460, with a full tank.
My point being, I felt my rig was going sour and I was loading it up.Now I wonder just how much will these Cummins will pull. Talking to a diesel mech. yesterday, he said these engines are de-tuned like you won't belive. If they were not the torque would twist the frame into a "barber pole". HVAC says 600 HP, how does it take it?
Well I guess it's time for 370 marine injectors and fuel plate. We'll see.
