Texas TDR Brothers and Sisters

I need expert help becoming a winter Texan. Last year My wife,myself, the dog and my Glide spent 2 weeks in the valley and I guess it was OK but we stayed 3 days in Kemah and 4 days in the Portland and I thought both of them had more to see and do. We are not yet into the planned campground activities unless it's cocktail hour or a group bike ride but we usually find those at the local Harley shop or just ask someone at a restaurant or bar. The reason I am asking you is there is winter Texans and there ARE winter Texans. You know the best places and the best people (and they all have TD's)
