travel on Hwy 50 and 54 Co. to Pa.

Leavin end of Sept., Co. to Pa. and was thinkin of highways 50 & 54 for some of the trip, any feedback on towing 15K 5er goin this way? any construction? I am planning trip to Lake of the Ozarks along the way, any good info on this area? Thanx in advance for the info and we may meet along the way!
