Towing a 25' Travel Trailer Up Hwy. 101 in N. CA., OR. & WA.?

I'm planning a two week vacation in which I would like to visit old friends & service buddies in N. CA. & WA. I would like to tow my 25' TT with my '03 QC. I would like to pick-up Hwy. 101 around Eureka & Arcata, CA. & go up the coastline to Edmonds, WA., just N. of Seattle.

I've been on Hwy. 1 in S. CA. in a car & don't think I'd want to tow a TT on that road. I was wondering if towing a TT on Hwy. 101 is a hassle & not worth doing. If so, I'll just take I-5, which, I've done a couple of times in the past. 101 may be more interesting.

In early Oct., is it worth taking 101 that loops around Olympic Nat'l. Park? Or, am I better off just bypassing the Park near Aberdeen & heading over to I-5 & on up to the Seattle area?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm aware of the strong possibility of rain at that time of the year. I was stationed at McChord AFB for 2-1/2 years in the middle 60's.

Thanks.

Joe F.
