Questions on Scale Weight
I finally took my truck by a scale tonight with my Jeep loaded on the trailer. Here are my results:
Front axle: 3980lbs
Rear axle: 3900lbs
Trailer axles: 6940lbs
Gross: 14,820lbs
I was under the impression that the trailer weighed in at around 4000lbs, that is what the dealer told me. I know my Jeep is a good 4000-5000lbs(need to weigh it)...so say 5k, does that mean the trailer only weighs around 2000-2500? I assume there are several hundred pounds of tounge weight on the rear axle?
How does this compare to everyone elses scales, are the truck axle weights about right?
Thanks,
CJ
