3rd gen...reese hitch...universal brackets...shock removal

Just as a heads up for anyone planning to use a Reese 5th wheel hitch and their supplied universal "drilling required" brackets.

When/if you decide to go this route, make sure you remove the driver's top shock bolt and flip it end for end...they are meant to be taken out between the bed/frame (to the outside of the truck), and the bracket makes removing this bolt a little tricky, not impossible, just tricky. By flipping it around so the head of the bolt faces inward, it makes removal a snap.

I ran into this issue this past weekend, and simply flipped the bolt around...it took a universal joint on a 1/2" ratchet to remove it.
