First Long Trip with my 6.7
I just completed about a 2,000 mile trip pulling my 37' fifth wheel with my 2007 6.7. While it doesn't have quite the power of my chipped 5.9, and mileage is not quite as good, in all other respects it was a sweet ride.
It had enough power to pull a 6% grade at 55 MPH with 16,000 lbs in tow. With just a bit of air in the airbags the ride was very smooth. The auto tranny almost always picked the right gear, and the engine brake was sweet.
I've got about 16,000 miles on the rig and no CEL lights or other issues with the truck.
For the weight police, I was fine on all my axle weights. I was just a bit over on the GVW and GCVWR, but felt quite safe. YMMV.
