What kind of tire jack to use?

I've never had a flat tire on my 5er, but if I did, I'm not sure I know how to change it. Didn't come with a jack. I've always assumed I could use my truck jack, but never checked out if it was big enough. I'd probably call AAA, but sometimes that could be a long wait. What are others doing to be prepared for such an event?
