tow package/brakes

Hi everyone,

My Dodge has a factory tow package (I.E. hitch and 7 wire pluge).
Do I still need to by a trailer brake to mount inside the cab or does the tow package control the brake. I know there is no hand control in the cab. However if it does not control the brake how do yopu find the wire that goes to the plug under the dashbroard.
