tow bar question?

Has anyone had experience with pulling older military vechicles. I have a 1951 M-37 and want to pull it with a drawtite 5,000 lb tow bar . Will it track right and is there any tips I should be aware of . Would rather do this if it is feasible rather than dealing with a tow dolly.Mostly just around town hauls .The m-37 proably weighs in around 5,000. Thanks RJ
