Got a towing job, need advice ASAP!!
Some guy flagged my down today, and needs me to haul him down to Jacksonville or Fort Lauderdale,FL(from Macon,GA). He is a fulltime car hauler, and was pulling his emty two car hauler, when his tranny blew on him. The truck is a '99 F-450 and he told me it weighs about 8500 #s. The trip to Jacksonville is about 270 mi there and 540 total mi. I told him it would cost him $300, and I plan to leave about 12:00 tommorrow(Wed). I figure $50 for fuel and $250 for 8 hrs of driving. I can't miss any college classes so I don't think I am going to go all the way to Lauderdale(550mi/8hrs). What do yall think? Got any advise?
Thanks
Rick
