truck weight
I know this has been discussed a million times, but I couldn't find any useful info on a search. Here's the deal; I am thinking about getting rid of my 24' travel trailer and getting a slide-in camper. I am aware of the ridiculous fact that GVWR is the same on all 2500's despite my camper package etc. I am wondering what my truck weighs. Has anyone weighed thier 2001.5 2500 quad cab, long box, 4x4, cummins, auto? I know I should go weigh it, but I have a large rack and tool box setup on the truck right now and don't want to spend a whole weekend taking all the crap off and putting it on again.
Also, anybody have an opinion on a light weight camper? I am looking at a Bigfoot 15C9.5.
I suspect my truck weighs between 7,000 and 7,500 lbs without me in it! This will only give me a payload of 1,300 to 1,800 lbs!
Pretty sad for a heavy duty truck with a camper package!
