Towing a travel trailer in snow

I am courious as to what you have to do to tow a trailer in snowy weather. I have a 28ft TT,2 axel, 6000lbs. The truck is 2wd. Do you put chains on the trailer axels? My wife would like to go to Lake Tahoe at Christmas. I don't want the drive to be a white knuckler
