Podigy brake controller help

I have a brand new Prodigy controller, just went and picked up a 32' enclosed car hauler and I get the n.c code, which means the prodigy doesnt think the trailer is connected. All the running lights, brake lights and turn signals work, but the controller still doesnt think the trailer is hooked up! Anyone have any ideas? Connectors are clean and everything else seems to work. Thanks for your help in advance
