Slide in campers

I have a question, when I purchased my truck, the invoice listed a "camper"package as one of the options, however on a different piece of paper included with the truck, this particular truck was listed as "not reccommented" to be used with a slide in camper. So whats up with that??? Any Ideas?

Oh yes, another little complaint,, doesn't anyone make a light weight small pop-up slide in without all the bells and wheezels, something that would cost less than say $2k???? most of them are heavy huge filled with all kinds of stuff.. I also tow a race trailer so something just to sleep in would fit the bill nicely.
