Glenwood Springs?hotel or campground

Hi--I am traveling from Denver on a Vacation. I'm looking hard at hotels in Glenwood Springs but they are very overpriced. Any helpful recommendations? what Do you all recommend? I will be leaving from the Denver area with a LANCE Camper but need to pit stop in Glenwood. (We live in OK so this is "wife directed" that we get a room). We want to hang out at the pool, I was just amazed at the prices they were asking for a room!! Any and all suggestion's welcome?
