tow mirrors

I would like to add tow mirrors to my truck. I currently have the bolt on type and would like to switch over to extendable one mounted on the mirror mounts. I have looked at the stealers 98 and up models but they do not make one for 96 models. Can the 98 model be adapted to fit the 96 truck and if not does any one know of an after market source. Thanks for your help.
