3rd Gen. 5th-wheel hitch?
I have a 2003 QC 3500, HO, 6-sp, 4x4, SRW, longbed. Have a Laredo 27RL 5th-wheel on order. GVWR of the Laredo is approx. 10,000#.
Am looking for the perfect 5th-wheel hitch to buy. I am sort of leaning towards the Pullrite Super 15.5K hitch with the Super Rails (remove the hitch and only 4 small holes are left in bed of truck). To my untrained eye, both the design and construction of this hitch is top notch.
This will be my first 5th-wheel experience. In your opinion, is this Pullrite hitch a good selection? Good design? Quality construction?
Also, since GVWR of the new trailer is approx. 10,000#, I assume that the 15.5K hitch is adequate and that the 20.5K hitch would be overkill.
Thanks for your comments.
Glenn
