question on towing

I have a question about the way my truck is set up right now. When my mom ordered my truck in the spring of 02, she didn't order the camper special package that has the sway bar, springs and the abs sensor in the back. I will be getting the Hellweg sway bar and springs for it, but how about the lack of abs sensor? Is it a big deal to not have it or can I do without? Thanks for the info.

BTW, I'm looking at an 8x20 cargo trailer with tandem heavy axles (8 bolt wheels)
