Installing a brake controller in a '93

I tried searching first and got way too many results to sort thru to try and find an answer so I thought I'd just ask for help. I have a Hoppy brake controller to install in my '93 W250CC and wanted to know how others may have done it. The instructions are kind of vague and I don't want to start cutting wires under the dash trying to find the right one. I don't believe the '93's had the plug from the factory to connect it to so I guess I'll have to do it the old fashioned way. Any recomendations from someone who has installed one on a 1st gen CTD would be appreciated. I'm going to be hauling a friends 28' cabin crusier soon and need to get the truck end squared away first. Thanks.
