New 600 and GN horse trailer question
Looking to get a three horse gooseneck horse trailer for the new truck. The 4x4's have a high ground clearance and it looks like the trailer will clear the truck rails by about six inches. Now the problem is, I installed a folding cover and a trac rack that mounts on the rails and they add about two inches to the bed rail height making the clearance now about four inches.... Ahem...salesman says... just crank out the GN post a couple of inches and all is well.
So the questions are;
What is the range clearance is needed for driving this combo on dirt roads safely... 6-8 inches or more ??? Is four inches not enough clearance?
Thanks for any input or recomendations
Dan
