New lift pump not lifting

I just put a new lift pump in my truck and it doesent seem to be working. I did the usual bump the starter technique and i got no humming and no pressure on the fuel gauge. I checked both the plugs on the pigtale that came with the pump and they were tight and clipped in. I need some help with this quick its getting cold.
