transmission probs

My tranny is "bucking" when it goes into lock-up in overdrive. Been doing it minimally for a little while but just recently got much worse and is now slipping a little when I give it the gas in od.........rpm and mph both increase but rpm increases faster than mph. "Bucking" stops when I accelerate. Need to tow my fifth wheel about 150 miles but am afraid to hook it up. Any help greatly appreciated. Band adjustment????????
