Truck won't start-MI

Lovely weather for a non-starting truck....anyway, I put the key in the ignition, turn it until the "wait to start" light comes on and then goes out, turn the key to start....nothing. This happened totally out of the blue. I first thought something had froze up (batteries, starter, etc), but it has been inside of a heated shop for the last 2 days and I'm having the same issue. It almost seems like an anti-theft system malfunction, but...? It is a work truck, and with it down it is really putting me behind.......so if anyone has any suggestions on a way to troubleshoot this, I would greatly appreciate it.
