Won't Start

I'm new to this even though I own a 97 2500 4X4 cummins with 125k on it. Last night I went out to a movie and when I came out the truck wouldn't start. I've heard some talk through the grape vine about the starter relays. Could this be my problem or is it the starter itself? I was able to get the truck started after rocking the truck back and forth. Where do I find either a new starter or the relay. Anyone who could help please email me, seadog8893@yahoo.com Thanks
