Gauge install problems

installed egt/boost/fp gauges today all worked great, but i notice on the trial run that the interior lights were on and would not go off. and no the dimmer switch was not all the way up...lol. i tapped into radio for 12v power and dimmer power. after i got home from run i unhooked everything i did and the lights are still on. i have to unhook battery or take out the fuse to get them to go off. what happened is there a dimmer or relay i may have jarred? i did remove light switch and speedo cluster to make it easier to run wires, but everything went back nicely and seems to work well except for the lights......Help
