Lost boost and power

Having power boost problem or fuel problem. 2001 5.9L 24 valve cummins.
Changed fuel filter and problem still there. At 40-55 mph truck will loose power. Press pedal to floor no response. Clutch the girl hit accelerator and power comes back. I get no indicator lights. Got 67000 miles on it. Concerned to take to dealer, found that most don't have good diesel mechanic. Need some good information to ask.
