Dead '99. Code 1689,0602.........

Put on new ECM this afternoon, recal. TPS, cleared code with scanner that told me the ECM had been disconnected (don't remember the code off hand). I took the ruck around the corner and had to walk about a mile home. It is now showing codes 1689,and 0602.
The lift pump curcuit had quit in the old ECM and was part of the reason for the change, but it did not fix the problem. The truck will not keep fuel pressure on it's own. The lift pump would give some fuel pressure (around 10 psi) until you crank the truck then would drop dead. I have been working around that till the ECM change today by putting the pusher on a toggle switch to give me 18-20psi constantly when running.
The boss is getting rather angry at the old girl and the threat of the VP44 ain't gonna make her happy. May have to sell bombs to get the funds........
