won't start....ignition tumbler?

tried to start the truck today, turn key to on position, bells and whistles all operate normally, wait to start comes on etc. then when I try to start it, there is no resistance in tumbler and nothing happens (no starter, no clicks, nothing) truck is a 94 2500 reg cab 4wd. On a side note, truck now has over 200k miles, and seems to be having more and more electrical gremlins in recent months.
