Check engine from Juice

I just insalled the Edge Juice w/attitude on my 2003 CTD and the first time I started it the check engine light stayed on. This does'nt surprise me, but I am curious what may be causing this. I am sure others have had this same problem so if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the help. I double checked all the connections so I can pretty much rule that out. The truck seems to run and drive the same as it did before on stages 0-3, I hav'nt taken it beyond that yet. Also if anyone knows of a way to read the trouble codes without getting a special tool please let me know.

2003 SLT Q/C, 2500, 4x4, 5spd, turbo silencer removed, Edge J/A, otherwise prety much stock.....so far!
