broken rear end Dana 70 help

Ok guys my dad's 97 2500 4x4 diesel broke the rear end this morning no warning just going down the road and all of a sudden clonk clonk he stopped had it towed to his house to cover off and shaving on magnet and pinion pieces laying in the bottom the ring some how even rubbed on the cover some what I need is how do we take it apart need good description we have another ring and pinion same gear ratio but have no idea how to take it apart and put it back together and what other parts will be required to do the job we a mechanical just never had to mess with a rear end before thanks in advance guys.
