White Smoke and the Preheater

Turned cold this morning, about 37F. Truck started fine but had a little white smoke and the preheater was cycling...pretty much normal.

After letting it warm up for 5 minutes or so I left for work, but after driving several miles (temp guage almost to normal) I stopped at a red light and the white smoke was tremendous!!! Cleared up after taking off, but happened again the next time I had to stop.

Then I got to work and it was still putting alot of white smoke out and I got out to smell the smoke and it quit!!! Also preheater quit cycling at the same time.

Thinking it must be a temp sensor somewhere giving bad readings.

Anyone have this happen to them?
