Truck Bucking,Smoking

Steveaz is broke down in El Paso. I asked him to change the fuel filter as it sounds like the most likely problem. Last I talked to him he was on his way to get one. I told him how I purge the air from mine which is a 99 but am not sure if a 98.5 is the same setup. Any help getting him going is appreciated. His cell # 602-653-0203. His 911 post is here.
