Can't fix KDP on 24 valve - case is not flat - is this the updated case?

I've got my 99 apart planning on tabbing the KDP, BUT the hole for the KDP is raised a good 1/4 inch above the flat surface where the neighboring bolt is. I can bend the tab and make it stepped, but not sure if that's the right answer. Or does this mean I have the updated case and don't need to worry?

I don't want to put it back together and guess wrong!
