transmission worry

I have a1998 12 valve , I think it is A 47R auto transmission . sometimes when the truck sits for a few days & i start it , you can feel the transmission go in but the truck does'nt start to move very good , if I give it full throttle it will get to going pretty quick, but i don't like to do that , if i give it some time it will then move on out, kinda like it slips a lot. I'm talking about this problem in warm weather , so I know cold had nothing to do with it . if i use the truck every day it's ok, transmission is solid & shifts well, Help ,,,,,, some body ( this is my first post for help so bear with me ,, thanks..
