Mushy Clutch

I have a '99 3500 one ton with 5 speed, just put in 5th gear upgrade from blumenthals and a Lux clutch assembly. I have had a mushy clutch peddle that engaged near floor so I put in a new slave cylander thinking (dumb me) that was the problem. Now I can't get the truck in gear it will not release, I have to shut engine down put in gear start and go,not a good situation. I bled the system by pushing the slave cylander in out and had some bubbles come out of the resevoir as the install instructions said to do..any help on bleeding out more air or is there something I am missing here??
