tranny problems

I have a 2000 dodge deisel 4wd 3/4 ton I had it rebuilt 4 months with alot of upgrades for towing and my problem came back they said the torqe converter is locking & unlocking they are going to replace the battery cables and check the grounds will this help they don`t know for sure.
