2002 trying to die, please help!

Hey there, buddy of mine is driving my 2002 and is about 50 miles from home right now. Ck engine light came on and we pulled the following codes

P1693
P 0121

There was a sudden loss of response from the go pedal. Pulled over, restarted and seems to be OK for now... Anybody have any ideas???
